Standalone ion optics building blocks for labs building or modifying their own instruments — with or without a MIPS system. Each component ships with full specifications and a manual, and every design can be built to custom dimensions for your application.
A PCB-based ion funnel for focusing and transporting ions from a higher-pressure region into vacuum. Gold-plated ring electrodes are driven with an RF confinement field superimposed on a linear DC axial gradient, substantially improving ion transmission compared to a simple orifice or skimmer. The all-PCB construction is robust and easily cleaned in a sonicator, and the design is built to be driven directly by GAACE RF Generator or RF Mega drivers.
Custom lengths and apertures built to order — contact us to discuss your application.
Low-cost, PCB-based vacuum feedthroughs for bringing electrical signals into a vacuum chamber — an economical alternative to traditional machined feedthroughs. Available in KF16, KF25, and KF40 flange sizes with a wide range of connector options, each feedthrough is tested to 10⁻⁶ Torr.
The D9 variant brings a 9-pin D-sub connector on the atmosphere side down to pin connectors on the vacuum side — vacuum-side wiring with socketed PTFE leads makes pin assignments easy to change as your setup evolves.
Many other configurations are possible — contact us to discuss custom pin counts, connectors, or flange sizes.
Ion funnels can be built to any length, and feedthroughs can be configured with custom pin counts, connectors, or flange sizes. Beyond these standard offerings, we also design and build custom ion transport optics — planar quadrupoles, ring ion guides, and other application-specific ion optics — tell us about your application and we'll help you find the right configuration, at no cost for the initial consultation.
